in short: i've read alot of comics

so here's a few i like; hopefully you'll like them too.

Growing up, I was surrounded with comics. My father had a huge collection when I was a kid, starting back in his own childhood. Instead of the usual bedtime stories, he would narrate the harrowing tales of Batman beating the snot out of Two-Face or Joker, or Superman struggling to protect Metropolis between his life as Clark Kent. I even tried my hand at making my own series when I was like six; I would go as far as to (poorly) bind it and give it to my father to add to his catalogue. It was terrible, but I liked making them.

So to the surprise of nobody, there's a rather large spot in my heart that beats soley for comics.

I suppose this is a shrine of sorts, to all the comics I've read that make an impression on me enough to ramble about. A big part of this space will probably be showcasing webcomics, as I feel like they should have a spotlight shone on them for a change. I'll add a link to the cover for webcomics store for Indie, but in the case of DC and Marvel I'll uhhhh just ramble about them?

yarghhh

Webcomics

Webcomics! On Comicfury, Tapas, Hiveworks, Deviantart....there's alot out there. The creators of them are a special bunch; being able to write a story, draw all those pages, keeping track of all the little details, managing an online presence for it....wowza. I'd like to make my own one day, but for now I'll sing praises about them from the rooftops until I'm ready.

Bicycle Boy

by Jackarais

A post-apocalyptic sci-fi adventure that follows an amnesic cyborg named Poet. After waking up in the middle of a desert surrounded by corpses, he sets out to find answers- for better or for worse.
I originally found it on Smackjeeves sometime in 2015. I think it rekindled my love for comics and really introduced me to the wonderful world of Webcomics

Content Warning for graphic imagery such as blood, murder, swearing and all that you'd expect from a post-apocalyptic setting.
